Human Rights Foundation Chair Garry Kasparov was on “Sunday Morning Futures” to discuss Russian President Vladimir Putin and the crisis in Ukraine.

Putin said last week that the only way Russia will continue to supply gas to Ukraine is if they pay cash in advance.

“He’s now destroying the world that we used to live in after World War II,” Kasparov said, adding that Putin will continue to take land and needs to be stopped.

“It’s like a cancer,” he said. “You have to do surgery at [an] early stage, otherwise, you know, the territory that you have to cut will grow.”

Kasparov said it’s time for America to send a message to Putin and said that the White House must restore its credibility.
