Author Brian Cuban was on “A Healthy You” this weekend to discuss body dysmorphic disorder.

The body image disorder is characterized by persistent and intrusive preoccupations with an imagined or slight defect in a person’s physical appearance. The disorder affects about 2 percent of the population, both male and female.

Cuban, who suffered from the disorder for 30 years, wrote about the experience in “Shattered Image.”
