The select committee on Benghazi will go forward thanks to a House vote on Thursday evening. Speaker John Boehner now has to select GOP members to fill out the panel that will investigate the 2012 Benghazi attack.

Meanwhile, Democrats are blasting the committee as political theater and threatening to boycott it completely.

Earlier today, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said, “What we’ve asked for is that there’s as much bipartisanship as possible. […] They’ve already rejected that. We would’ve liked that, but we must have standards.”

On Outnumbered, today’s #oneluckyguy Dr. Keith Ablow pushed back on Democrats’ claims that seeking the truth is a stunt.

“Political psychiatry, if you will, is […] getting to the bottom of the narrative – what really happened,” Dr. Ablow said. “We as a nation will make decisions that undermine us if it isn’t clear exactly what happened.”

Shifting to the midterm elections, President Obama stated at a fundraiser yesterday that executive actions can only go so far, and that he needs a Congress willing to work with him.

Outnumbered co-host Kirsten Powers was astonished. “I was just sort of taken aback at the idea that the president thinks that they can win back the House. This seems a little 'crazyville' to me.”

Dr. Ablow said that like with Benghazi, reality doesn’t seem to matter to the administration.

“Why not say we’re going to take back the House because it’s a good line and because his legacies are short. He disempowered the United States artfully, intentionally and from the beginning with the apology tour,” he said.
