There's some shocking video surfacing from the scene of a murder outside a Houston apartment complex. The suspected killer's father plowed his car through a crowd that had gathered following a fatal shooting.

A crew from KHOU was at the complex when the scary scene played out. The man had apparently gotten into an argument with the 20-year-old victim's family. Another person was wounded in the shooting.

Bystanders were able to get out of the way and no one was hurt by the vehicle. The murder suspect was still at-large as of Wednesday night.

Here's more on the story from KHOU-TV:

Neighbors say rising tension between family members and friends of the victim and the suspect escalated throughout the day.

KHOU photojournalist Scott Stevens was rolling when a car came plowing through the scene of up to 100 people.

Bystanders had only seconds to get out of the way, but nobody was injured.

“Why would I be in the car and let him do that,” asked passenger Deshonna Smith, who is the fiancée of the driver. “They came out here picking on him. This was self defense.”

The video shows a bike being hurled at the car moments before it careened toward a sea of people.

Smith claims the victim’s family was taunting her man, and one thing led to another.

“That’s when he got upset. The man threw the bicycle. Another man came and punched him in his face. That’s when you seen the car go up in the median,” said Smith. “The devil has taken over this whole apartment complex. This ain’t nothing but Satan’s playground.”

Smith is seen on the video grabbing the wheel after the driver bailed out of the car.

A Houston Police officer then restrained the driver on the ground.
