Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) wants Democrats to boycott a newly announced committee which will investigate Benghazi.

On Friday, House Speaker John Boehner said the House would vote on a select committee to investigate the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks.

Schiff called the new committee a colossal waste of time and taxpayer resources, noting that we’ve already had four investigations into the attacks. He said that the four-page memo obtained by Judicial Watch only contained two lines about Benghazi, which were consistent with the CIA’s talking points.

It’s been a year and a half since the attacks, but Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) said on “Fox News Sunday” that it’s not too late for the select committee. She said there hasn’t been an explanation as to why Susan Rice blamed a YouTube video for the attack.

Ayotte blamed the White House for the video narrative and said it was a "political explanation leading up to an election."
