Are items in your home contributing to your allergies or asthma?

Robin Wilson, founder of Robin Wilson Home, was on “A Healthy You” to identify some allergy and asthma triggers around your household.

Wilson said soy candles are a good allergy-free alternative to perfumed candles. She also cautioned against volatile organic compounds (VOCs) – household sprays, candles, fragrance plug-ins, and some kinds of paint.

Wilson also suggested hypoallergenic stuffed bears because dust mites don’t like eating them, and the bears are washable. If a stuffed bear isn’t washable, freeze it for 48 hours, shake it out, and give it back to your child.

One in five people suffer from allergies and asthma.
