The RNC is suing the IRS over documents related to the agency’s alleged targeting of conservative groups.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus told Greta Van Susteren that the RNC asked for the documents in May 2013. Under the law, the IRS has 20 days to respond to a request, but can ask for extensions.

Priebus said it has now been more than 220 days, and the IRS has asked for multiple extensions.

“We’re done playing footsie here with the IRS,” he said.

The RNC is seeking documents related to Lois Lerner, documents that came and went from the White House to the IRS, and documents between the Cincinnati and D.C. offices.
