3 Dead in Shootings at 2 Kansas Jewish Centers; Suspect in Custody
UPDATE, 5:04p ET: Three people are dead after shootings at two Jewish centers in Kansas, authorities say.
UPDATE, 4:32p ET: At least one person is dead and a second person is critical following two shootings at Jewish-related locations in Overland Park, Kansas.
Witnesses say the shooting may have been racially motivated because the person of interest yelled “Heil Hitler” as he was being taken into custody.
The man was taken into custody at nearby Valley Park Elementary School.

There are reports of two shootings at Jewish-related locations in Overland Park, Kansas.
KCTV reports that a shooting was reported at about 1 p.m. today at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City.
Teens were auditioning for KC Superstar auditions at the time.
Another shooting was reported at nearby assisted living center Village Shalom, which has been placed on lockdown, according to residents’ relatives.
These shootings come one day before Passover begins.
