Spring Break Exposed on 'Hannity': FL Cops Use Mobile Detention Centers
As police in Panama City Beach, Florida, deal with rowdy, drunken behavior each year during Spring Break, they're coming up with new ways to respond. Ainsley Earhardt got an up-close look at the Bay County Sheriff's mobile detention center.
Essentially, the department is bringing the jail to the offenders, rather than having officers make countless trips back and forth to the station. The setup consists of a mobile command center, a mobile holding cell that closely resembles a dog pen, and a building for booking and processing suspects.
Lt. David Baldwin told Ainsley that the system saves police officers an hour to 90 minutes, since they can set up their post right near the popular Spring Break "strip."
