Soldier Disguised as Polar Bear Surprises Dad and Brother on the Football Field

The entire family joined Fox and Friends this morning to share their story. Spc. Miller served nine months in Afghanistan and was expected to be home two weeks later. He said he got the idea to surprise his family from watching other military reunions.

His mom Sue, who works at a school, was surprised in front of an entire kindergarten class. She said seeing her son felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders.

“Always in the back of my mind I’m thinking is he okay, is he alright. It’s like I’m always waiting for somebody to come to the door or a phone call," she said.

His father Bernie, who is a veteran, said, “You can’t cover up your emotion. I was in a meeting at the time and routinely I get a little tap on the door if something happened, but nobody answered me back. … Opened the door and there he was. It was just one of life’s great, spontaneous moments.”

Spc. Miller had a special message for his fellow soldiers in the Fox and Friends interview above!
