Outrageous Authorities Search for Minn. Couple Accused of Welfare Fraud While Living Lavishly
Authorities continue their search for a Minnesota couple who allegedly collected welfare and food stamps while living on a $1.2 million dollar yacht.
Colin and Andrea Chisholm supposedly scammed more than $160K in public assistance without reporting the nearly $3 million deposited in different bank accounts.
Judge Andrew Napolitano said this isn’t surprising since the government willy-nilly gives away taxpayer money.
This couple will be prosecuted, he said, “but the people who won’t be prosecuted are the people in the government that permitted this to happen.”
According to the USDA, as of December 2013 the number of Americans on food stamps reached almost 47 million. Judge Napolitano believes the number is much higher than what was reported.
“What happens when it’s over 50 percent? Will they vote and have their representatives vote to take more money from us?” he asked.
