The surveillance video, taken last week at Ellacoya Country Store in Gilford, has been dubbed a fake by some internet skeptics, but the owner of the store told Anna Kooiman this morning that the event happened exactly as shown on the footage.

"We spent probably a week trying to figure out how that happened. There was no string, there was no truck, nothing else on the counter moved," said Steven Buzzotta, referring to some theories he has seen about the strange occurrence.

Buzzotta said multiple ghost experts have spoke of a 14-year-old girl and her father present in the building, which dates back to the 1700s. He recalled that he has heard strange noises in the building over the years, but never thought much of it.

"We're really not trying to play any games," he said, adding that so far no customers have been scared off.
