A Fox News poll found that 52 percent believe America is weaker and less powerful than it was six years ago before President Barack Obama took office.

Another 29 percent said the country is the same as before, while 17 percent said the nation is stronger and more powerful.

Pollster Frank Luntz asked a focus group of 20 Americans how many people think the country’s best days are behind us. Many raised their hands.

Members of the focus group said they feel American leaders are dividing the country.

Participants used terms like “nanny state” and “a country of government junkies” to describe the nation.
