Passengers Evacuated After Plane Skids Off Runway at Philadelphia Airport
Passengers of US Airways flight 1702 from Philadelphia to Fort Lauderdale got quite a scare when the plane's landing gear malfunctioned on the runway before takeoff, causing the aircraft's nose to drop to the ground.
The landing gear trouble came after a blown tire. The plane's pilot aborted the takeoff.
All 149 passengers and five crew members were evacuated from the plane.
No serious injuries were reported.
