A high school music performance turned into the scare of a lifetime Saturday for students and their parents as the stage collapsed during the performance. Authorities said 25 students from the all-female Rosary High School were hurt, though most suffered minor injuries when the wooden stage gave way.

Some of the girls suffered broken bones. About 250 students were packed onto the stage at Servite High School, an all-boys Catholic school in California where the performance was being held.

The girls were jumping up and down when the collapse occurred.

Investigators are looking into whether the stage permit contained restrictions on the amount of people or total weight that the structure could handle.
