Tea Party Coloring Books Fly Off the Shelves After IRS Scandal
A coloring book that teaches kids about the Tea Party originally saw a hefty helping of backlash upon its publication. But now, in light of the recent IRS scandal, the tables have turned and it's seeing a massive spike in sales.
Wayne Bell, the founder of Really Big Coloring Books, reacted to the reversal, discussing his surprise after sales "skyrocketed" over the past two weeks.
From parents to councilmen, they're in high demand - but that wasn't always the case.
"A lot of people really loved it, but a lot of people did not like them. A lot of people told us [to] 'go away.'"
The company makes coloring books of all types, custom-building them for all audiences, including a collection of coloring pages on the Occupy Wall Street movement. Bell admitted, however, the OWS book was not one of our best sellers."
