Calorie Counts Coming Soon to a Beer Near You?
Beer, wine and liquor manufacturers may soon be forced to package their products with nutritional information labels.
The labels are currently optional, but the new federal ruling is creating a wave of support from proponents, who say it's important to allow people to have that information in order to make educated decisions about their diets.
However, those in the business of alcohol such as John Atkinson, owner of L.A.'s Louie's Restaurant and Bar, are none too happy about the proposition.
"[My partners and I] just think it's another intervention, another expense; another expense means less hires, more problems. [It's] a terrible idea," he told Fox News' Adam Housley. "This is not gonna make anybody happy."
