Texas Gov. Rick Perry reacted today to the Justice Department saying they'll sue the state over their law requiring voters to show identification at the polls.

"It's a continual attack on the states and the 10th Amendment," Perry told Shannon Bream, in for Megyn Kelly.

Perry continued, saying the DOJ's decision "shows disregard for the Constitution and the rule of law," after the people of Texas agreed upon and voted the legislation into law.

"I think this is a great indication of this administration's use of race at the drop of a hat," said Perry, defending the state's law by saying that it has nothing to do with race but all to do with making sure that the sanctity of the voting process is upheld.
