Krauthammer: Obama’s Approval Rating Drop ‘Is Well Earned’
The latest Fox News poll has President Barack Obama’s job approval rating at 38 percent, a record low. Lower still is his foreign policy approval rating, at 33 percent.
“I think the drop is well earned,” Charles Krauthammer said on “Special Report.”
Krauthammer said that the United States has “no cards to play” in Ukraine. He said the U.S. has no leverage and that the Europeans have “no stomach for real sanctions.” Sanctions without European involvement would have a minimal effect on Russia, Krauthammer said.
According to Krauthammer, Obama should reassure NATO nations on the border of Ukraine that the U.S. won’t allow an intrusion there. He said that the U.S. should schedule joint military maneuvers with those NATO nations and the Baltic states.
