A Georgia girl is being called a hero after she called 911 and helped save her dad’s life.

Shawn Powers was cutting up a tree at the family’s home in Rockdale County, Ga., when he accidentally cut his right arm with a machete.

Powers couldn’t call 911 himself because he was trying to stop the bleeding with his left arm.

Luckily, his 3-year-old daughter Elisha knew what to do. Powers and his wife had taught the little girl how to unlock their smartphones and dial 911.

Powers was on “Fox and Friends” this morning to tell his story. He called Elisha his hero and said she was very brave during the ordeal.

Doctors say it will take between six and eight months for Powers’ arm to heal.
