Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC) is facing a flurry of questions over her promises that Americans would be able to keep their insurance plans under ObamaCare. In the video above, Hagan was pressed on the issue Monday by a reporter in the parking lot of a state election office, where she officially filed to run for re-election.

Hagan's U.S. Senate seat is viewed by political observers as vulnerable, with her support for the Affordable Care Act a major issue in the campaign.

The reporter asked Hagan when she became aware that some insurance policies would have to be canceled under the requirements of ObamaCare.

As she hurried to her car, she maintained that “it wasn’t clear that insurance companies were selling substandard policies.”
