Silver Medalist Noelle Pikus-Pace Talks Training, Family With Gretchen Carlson
Pikus-Pace retired following the 2010 Olympic Games. She told Carlson that the reason she decided to give the Olympics another shot was because she had suffered a miscarriage.
Pikus-Pace said her husband knew she needed something to take her mind off of the miscarriage. “My husband said, ‘Hey, why don’t we try this as a family?’” she told Carlson.
The family was able to raise the funds through supporters so that they could travel the world together.
“This is not just my medal … it’s so many people that helped us get here,” she said.
The silver medalist said she couldn’t have done it without her husband.
“With him by my side, anything’s possible, to be honest with you,” Pikus-Pace said.
Pikus-Pace ran track and field, then got into bobsledding before becoming a skeleton racer.
