Outrageous Police: Substitute Teacher Showed Up Drunk to School
A substitute teacher is facing charges after police say she showed up drunk to school to teach children.
School administrators at Washington Elementary School in Ada, Okla. called police and told them 43-year-old Michelle Childress could barely stand up.
Teachers distracted Childress in the parking lot until police arrived. Video shows Childress telling police, “I drank a little bit before I came [to school].”
An officer asked, “So you drank before you came up here to sub? That’s not too good of a decision.”
“No, but I mean, it’s not a bad decision,” Childress responded.
Police say her blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.
Childress was arrested for public intoxication. She had previously faced a DUI.
