Justin Bieber Offered Plea Deal in Florida DUI Case
Justin Bieber has been offered a plea deal after allegedly driving under the influence in Miami, Fla. last month.
Prosecutors will drop the DUI and resisting arrest charges if Bieber pleads no contest to reckless driving. He would have to submit to random drug tests, attend alcohol education classes and complete at least 40 hours of community service. He would also have to install an ignition interlock device in his vehicle.
Bieber would likely face drug testing for between six and nine months.
The 19-year-old pop star was arrested in January and admitted that he had been drinking, smoking pot and had taken prescription medication. He was also driving with an expired license.
Bieber has not yet commented on the plea deal.
