Crews are working around the clock in Georgia and the Carolinas as more than 500,000 remain without power after a snow and ice storm moved through yesterday.

Georgia Power Spokesman John Kraft updated us on the situation on America's Newsroom. Over 200,000 customers are without electricity in Georgia at this hour.

Kraft said power has been restored over the last day to more than 260,000 Georgians. He said some outages are still popping up as the wind snaps tree branches that are weighed down by snow and ice.
