A teenage boy carved a sweet message of encouragement in the snow for his mother, who is undergoing chemotherapy at Chicago’s Rush University Medical Center. Shari Hart could see the message “Mom, God Bless U” outside her window. She was admitted to the hospital recently after being diagnosed with leukemia.

“When I saw what he wrote I was just proud and amazed that you could think of doing something as spectacular as that for me. Just outside my window for everyone to see. It was a big proud mommy moment." Hart said.

Her son Will added, "I thought it would be nice for my mom to see it and for others to feel happy."

Hospital staff and patients began posting photos of the message over the weekend on social media and it quickly went viral.
