Radio host David Webb confronted North Carolina NAACP president Rev. William Barber over remarks he made about Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.).

“A ventriloquist can always find a good dummy,” Barber said. “The extreme right-wing down here finds a black guy to be senator and claims he’s the first black senator since Reconstruction, and then he goes to Washington, D.C., and articulates the agenda of the Tea Party.”

Hannity to NAACP Leader: ‘Can You Name One Person That Died in Chicago During Zimmerman Trial?!’

Webb asked Barber questions about these comments at a news conference. He said it’s his job to speak the truth about public policies and did not apologize for the comments. He has declined to come on 'Hannity' to explain his remarks.

Webb then asked participants in a NAACP march if they believe the Tea Party is racist and whether President Obama has failed the black community. Hear their responses in the video above.
