Rep. Ryan Calls Obama’s Presidency ‘Increasingly Lawless’
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) called President Obama “increasingly lawless” on ABC’s “This Week.”
Judge Andrew Napolitano was on The Kelly File tonight to discuss the remarks.
“I wish everybody in the Congress had the attitude that Paul Ryan does,” he said.
Napolitano said that there are good executive orders and bad executive orders. He said when the president issues an executive order that explains how he wants a law enforced, that’s a good executive order.
“But when he issues an executive order that frustrates the law, so frustrates it that he rewrites it, that stops the intent of Congress, that’s a bad thing, that’s going around, that’s going outside the Constitution because he doesn’t have the authority to do that. That’s what Congressman Ryan was complaining about.”
“What are they going to do with the memos from the DOJ giving the president his legal authorization for these 'end-arounds?'” Kelly asked.
“They will never get those memos because the DOJ is afraid to demonstrate to the public … that they are without the type of authority that the president claims he has.”
