At the end of the national anthem, there was a stunning military flyover, made up of nine Apache, Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters from the 101st Airborne Division.

Bruno Mars honored the troops during the Halftime show. Messages from soldiers serving overseas were played while Mars performed, “Just the Way You Are.”

Hall of famer Joe Namath’s fur coat during his botched coin toss may have made headlines, but something else caught our attention. Namath tweeted:

Kyle, the most effective Navy SEAL sniper in U.S. history, was killed a friend he was trying to help deal with post-traumatic stress disorder.
