Outrageous Obama's Former Pastor Says Tea Party Is 'Lynch Mob 2.0'
Obama’s former pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, made outrageous comments about the Tea Party just days after blasting the president.
Rev. Wright was speaking at a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day event in Delaware when he said: “We’ve got some unfinished business on the agenda, with one branch of the Tea Party being nothing but a 2.0 upgrade of the lynch party. We’ve got some unfinished business on the agenda, with some folks doing everything they can to get that black man out of their White House.”
Tonight on On The Record, Greta Van Susteren said she was stunned Wright would “poison” MLK Day, noting that Americans of all races admire Dr. King.
Former Congressman Allen West (R-FL) also reacted, saying, “If he were to check his history, Jim Crow laws, the formulation of the Ku Klux Klan, poll taxes, literacy tests, all those came from the Democrat Party.”
West continued, “They’re just trying to demonize the Tea Party because they understand the impact that that grassroots movement will have in these midterm elections.”
