Outrageous 'Hannity' Panel: Maine Welfare Cash Turns Up at Disney World
According to a report from Town Hall, welfare recipients in Maine have been making transactions in Disney World. The transactions, which are traceable via EBT cards, also turned up at other Florida resorts and in Hawaii.
California welfare recipients were found to have spent or withdrawn $69 million outside the state between 2007 and 2010, with nearly $12 million of that occurring in Las Vegas.
Sean Hannity and the Great American Panel - Noah Rothman of Mediaite, Scottie Hughes of the Tea Party News Network, and FNC contributor Tamara Holder - weighed in Monday night.
Holder challenged Hannity on the numbers, saying the spending from Maine over three years is a relatively small sum.
Rothman agreed there are "a lot of reasons" why a family on welfare could go on vacation. But he noted it's important to recognize that, like with food stamps, there are people who abuse the system.
