A New York family was reunited with a missing man, thanks to a photo in USA Today.

Associated Press photographer Jacquelyn Martin was looking for ways to portray the freezing temperatures in Washington, D.C. when she snapped a photo of 20-year-old Nicholas Simmons.

Simmons went missing from his home in upstate New York and did not bring his wallet, cell phone or identification with him.

The published photo created a buzz on social media, and Simmons’ family reached out to the reporter, who then tweeted at Martin for help finding the man.

Police picked him up shortly thereafter.
