'Fast & Furious' Gun Found After Deadly Mexican Resort Shootout
Yet another Fast and Furious weapon was recovered in Mexico. This time, the gun was found after a shootout between Mexican authorities and drug cartel members in the popular resort town of Puerto Penasco.
Five cartel gunmen were killed in the battle last month, and the sounds were captured in an amateur video posted on YouTube.
ATF, which was blamed for the botched gun operation, released the following statement:
“ATF has accepted responsibility for the mistakes made in the Fast and Furious investigation and at the attorney general’s direction we have taken appropriate and decisive action to ensure that these errors will not be repeated. And we acknowledge that, regrettably, firearms related to the Fast and Furious investigation will likely continue to be recovered at future crime scenes.”
Katie Pavlich reacted to the situation on Fox and Friends this morning, arguing that ATF has a very "loose" definition of what it means to take responsibility.
She said even Eric Holder admits that we're going to see more murders be linked to Fast and Furious weapons, with some 1,400 of them still out there.
