The D.C. Navy Yard is on lockdown this morning after reports of an active shooter. An employee inside the building said alarms were sounding and workers were being told to shelter in place.
The families of employees at Washington, D.C.'s Navy Yard remain on pins and needles Monday afternoon as they await word from loved ones on lockdown inside the facility following a deadly shooting that took place this morning.
In a briefing held just moments ago, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier told the press that one suspected shooter is deceased following Monday's shooting at the U.S. Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. Lanier also said that there may potentially be two other shooters on the loose.
