The parents of Sarah Murnaghan, a 10-year-old with cystic fibrosis, have filed an injunction to stop Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius from enforcing a policy that’s preventing Murnaghan from getting the lung transplant she so desperately needs.
Yesterday we learned the shocking story of an Arizona family's trip to Mexico that was interrupted when police stopped their bus and arrested a mother of seven on a drug smuggling charge. Yanira Maldonado, 42, is accused of trying to transport 12 pounds of marijuana. Cops stopped the bus at a checkpoint and claim that the drugs were under the seat in which Maldonado was sitting. Maldonado is in a Mexican jail awaiting a court appearance, but her family says she has been set up.
