She also worked for KSTP-TV (ABC 5) and hosted The Harris Faulkner Show on FM107 Radio in Minneapolis, MN. From 1993 to 2000, she served as the primary evening anchor for WDAF-TV (FOX 4) in Kansas City, MO. Faulkner began her television career at WNCT-TV (CBS 9) as an anchor and reporter in Greenville, NC. Faulkner has received six Emmy Awards, including the 2004 Emmy for Best Newscaster and Best News Special. In 1998, she received the Amelia Earhart Pioneering Lifetime Achievement Award for her humanitarian efforts.
Faulkner graduated from The University of California at Santa Barbara with a B.A. in mass communications.
