Joe Biden has been in Pennsylvania stumping for Democratic candidate Conor Lamb ahead of Tuesday's special congressional election, and some have speculated that the former vice president could be planting seeds for a 2020 presidential run.

In a speech to union workers on Tuesday, Biden criticized his fellow Democrats and called on them to find a message for blue-collar workers, which President Trump did successfully in 2016.

"Some people in my party don't even get it anymore. ... It's about who the hell we are and what we've done and it makes me angry," he said.

On "Outnumbered Overtime" on Thursday, Lara Trump, President Trump's daughter-in-law and senior advisor to his reelection campaign, said the fact that there is enthusiasm in the Democratic Party for a potential Biden run is an indictment of the state of the party.

"Joe Biden has been living off the swamp for five decades now. And if that is the person that the Democrats want to run, that they think the American people want, then I wish them a lot of luck with that," Trump said.

She argued that the problem for Democrats is that they lack a message or a real leader.

She noted, however, that Democrats have a powerful ally in the form of the mainstream media, which she argued does not highlight any of the Trump administration's accomplishments.

"We see what the left does, we see what the media does. They throw a bunch of noise at us to try and distract us from the reality that this country is headed back in the right direction, and it's thanks to our president."
