A man's patriotic act of kindness was caught on surveillance video outside a home in Tennessee.

Erin Fezell shared the video on Facebook, stating that her American flag had blown off its flagpole.

The video shows the man -- who turned out to be her neighbor's nephew -- returning Old Glory, properly folded, to Fezell's doorstep.

Fezell said in her post that harsh winds took down the flag and that she was "in awe" of the man's thoughtful gesture.

"He folded it correctly then placed it on a chair as to not allow it to lay on the ground. I'm so honored," she wrote. "It's not often that the current generation gets recognized for doing something so patriotic. I appreciate and applaud you, sir!"

Fezell told FOX 17 that the moment was "truly touching."

"I just simply applaud him for this small action as it spoke volumes as to the character he has within," she said.

The man's good deed was met with high praise on social media, with users applauding the "very awesome" and "outstanding" act.
