Tucker Carlson said that there were "no obvious takeaways" from the mixed results of Tuesday's election, but some "very useful lessons."

"Democrats just won back the House of Representatives [but] they don't appear to have any idea how they did it," he said.

Carlson said the only tangible message that has come from the Democrats recently is "Trump."

He said they accuse the president of being a "narcissist" but at the same time appear enamored with covering him to the point of narcissism itself.

"They think everything is about him, too," he said.

Carlson said that some Democrats are reportedly prepared to seek out Trump's yet-unreleased tax returns.

"Not infrastructure, not wages... or the looming threat of China," Carlson said. "What exactly will we learn? That a casino owner once employed a clever accountant?"
