Kayleigh McEnany, a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, said on Sunday the economy is at stake in the upcoming midterm elections.

McEnany said on Fox & Friends that the economy under President Trump has seen "incredible success."

"Don't reverse the gains we've made," McEnany said. "They are very real gains, they are undeniable."

A recent pre-election poll found that 65 percent of adults see the economy in "excellent or good shape" under the president.

McEnany added that if Democrats win back the House and vote Rep. Nancy Pelosi, (D-Calif.), as speaker, Trump's economic strides will be lost.

"Do you like the economic strides we've made? It's completely reversed from the Obama years," she said. "Well, if you like that, you must vote Republican."

Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov said on Sunday that Democrats will elect Pelosi as speaker again, if they take back the House.

"I think it will be a lot closer than anyone would imagine," she said. "It will get dicey."
