Trump 2020 campaign adviser Lara Trump said American voters see through former President Obama's claims that the economic prosperity the country is experiencing is due to his administration's actions.

At a rally for Nevada Democrats, Obama told the crowd to remember "who started" the economic recovery, saying "poverty was falling" when he left the White House.

Ms. Trump, who is married to the president's son Eric, said that it "must be pretty hard to be President Obama" and watch the economy breach 4 percent GDP growth despite the Democrat's incredulous doubts that it would boom to such a level under his successor.

"It will be incredibly hard to defeat Donald Trump," she said.

"I think we all know the economy turned around and this country started finally heading in the right direction under President Trump," Ms. Trump said.
