At a rally for Sen. Ted Cruz, President Trump said that if attendees want Hillary Clinton thoroughly investigated for alleged federal crimes, he will have to nominate her to the Supreme Court.

Trump blasted the media and the Democrats for attempting to tarnish Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings.

"If you want them to investigate Hillary Clinton, we'll just have to nominate her to the Supreme Court," he said.

"Let's see how she does."

Clinton was exonerated by then-FBI Director Jim Comey for allegedly mishandling classified information in relation to a secret private email server kept in her home.

"If Justice Kavanaugh had to go through, and he's a fine man, can you imagine Hillary up there [in a hearing]?" Trump asked.

Trump riffed that it would take "three to four years of questions" to satisfy Congress, judging by how deeply Kavanaugh's history was probed.
