This week on Life, Liberty & Levin, Mark Levin will sit down with Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin for a discussion on his approach to running for office.

Sunday night's episode will follow a special live hour on Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearings, hosted by Ed Henry at 10:00pm ET.

Bevin (R) credited his gubernatorial victory in 2015 to being a straight shooter with voters, a strategy he said is what got President Trump in the Oval Office.

"There's so much fakery. There's so much posturing," he said, adding that Trump is bringing to light issues that people have wanted to tackle but avoid.

"Americans are hungry for that kind of sincerity from people," Bevin said of the president.

Bevin said that he'd never change his beliefs in order to accommodate an individual or group.

"I'm not going to pretend to be something I'm not in order to get a vote," he said. "It's that kind of fakery people are fed up with."

He added that candidates running for office should talk with passion about what they actually know about.

"Be bold in your conviction," he said. "Don't talk about things you don't know about. Talk with passion about the things you do know about."
