Tucker Carlson reacted to Stormy Daniels' lawyer inserting himself in the debate over Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court.

California attorney Michael Avenatti said he is representing at least one other woman accusing Kavanaugh of misconduct, telling MSNBC that he is troubled by the "series of allegations" against the Maryland jurist.

"This is a pattern of behavior that took place across many months and many months and many years," Avenatti said. "When these allegations are surfaced... there will be no question that Brett Kavanaugh is not fit to sit on the Supreme Court."

Carlson -- referring to Avenatti as "The creepy porn lawyer" -- dismissed his remarks, saying he has not provided the specific allegations.

"This guy's a buffoon," he said. "[The] consequences are serious" in Kavanaugh's case if they are proven correct.

He said that Avanatti was a "charlatan," asking fellow California liberal Ethan Bearman his thoughts on the attorney.

Bearman, a radio host, said Avenatti is simply "taking a page out of Donald Trump's own playbook [and] manipulating the media to his own benefit."

However, he and Carlson agreed that Avenatti's accusation that Kavnaugh was part of a "rape ring" is thus far unfounded.
