Gorka: Rosenstein Report Shows 'Unequivocally Corrupt' DOJ, FBI Under Obama
'These are the swamp creatures par excellence.'
The New York Times report said that Rosenstein suggested secretly recording President Trump last year and pressed cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.
Gorka said that he doesn't buy the "very, very weak" denial from the deputy attorney general in response to the story's claims. In a statement to Fox News, Rosenstein said that the story was "inaccurate and factually incorrect."
"At the highest level of the DOJ and the FBI, the Obama administration was utterly, unequivocally corrupt," he said.
Fox News has learned that during a meeting in May 2017, the subject of potentially appointing a special counsel to probe Russian election meddling was brought up.
The following day, Robert Mueller was appointed as special counsel. In the room during that meeting was McCabe, as well as Lisa Page, who have both denied the Times report.
"Clearly the rats are turning on each other," Gorka said, adding that officials like Andrew McCabe, James Comey, and Page are "unscrupulous, corrupt Obama holdovers or people who have left."
