Tomi Lahren Slams Waters: Even Democrats Want 'Mad Maxine' to Stop Impeachment Talk
Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren called out "Mad Maxine" Waters over her repeated calls for President Donald Trump's impeachment.
The California Democrat has been one of Trump's most outspoken critics, and she continues to double down on her anti-Trump rhetoric.
Waters, who took heat earlier this year for urging her supporters to confront Trump administration officials in public, said in Los Angeles over the weekend that some Democratic leaders have asked her to stop talking about impeaching Trump.
“There’s a difference in how some of our leadership talk about how we should handle all of this,” Waters said as she accepted an award from the Stonewall Young Democrats on Saturday. “They say, ‘Maxine, please don’t say impeachment anymore.'”
“And when they say that, I say, ‘Impeachment, impeachment, impeachment, impeachment, impeachment, impeachment, impeachment,’” Waters said, later adding that she wakes up in the middle of the night and “all I can think about is I’m going to get him," in reference to Trump.
On "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday, Lahren said even some Democrats want Waters to stop with the impeachment talk, because it just fires up Trump supporters and weakens the Democratic Party.
"Every time 'Mad Maxine' opens up her mouth, it reminds us why we should vote for Republicans in the coming midterm elections," Lahren said. "At this point I don't know how [Democrats] don't see her as a joke. I know I certainly do."
She added that it's become clear that Waters is suffering from "Trump derangement syndrome," and the only tool she has in her toolbox is calling for impeaching the president.
