What do Californians think about socialism?

Fox News and Fox Nation contributor Tomi Lahren hit the streets of Los Angeles to find out in a segment that aired Monday night on "Hannity."

A majority of the people Lahren spoke to were unable to define socialism, which is becoming increasingly popular in the Democratic Party, with leaders like Sen. Bernie Sanders and New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez running on a platform of Democratic socialism.

A recent poll revealed that more Democrats have a positive view about socialism than those who express a positive view about capitalism.

One respondent misunderstood the difference between "socialism" and "socializing," declaring, "I like to socialize with everybody!"

One man said socialism has worked in some places, but when Lahren pressed him on where, he was unable to answer.

Lahren asked another man if he could explain the difference between a Democrat and a socialist, and he could not.

Another man said he's for socialism because everybody should have a fair opportunity for health care.

"Does fair mean free?" Lahren asked.

"Fair means free," he affirmed.

Another young woman said she doesn't like President Trump, so "why not" embrace socialism, agreeing that anything that is "not Trump" would be OK with her.
