Hannity: Mueller Team 'Embarrassing Themselves' While Trying to 'Put the Screws' on Manafort
In his Opening Monologue Wednesday, Sean Hannity ripped the Mueller team's prosecutors in the case against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
Hannity said Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team is "embarrassing themselves" while trying to "put the screws on Manafort" to testify something damning about President Donald Trump.
Hannity said the tax fraud case against Manafort is from 2005 and "has absolutely zero to do with Russia... nothing to do with Trump."
He said that Manafort's former associate, Richard Gates, got a "get out of jail free card" in being able to testify in the trial against Manafort.
Hannity said Gates was facing charges that could have resulted in a very lengthy prison term.
He said that Manafort's defense team called into question Gates' character in light of the otherwise potential charges.
