Final Thoughts 'This Is Common Sense': Tomi Lahren Says Trump Right to Call for Voter ID Laws
Left continues narrative that 'law and order is oppressive.'
Welcome back for Final Thoughts.
Americans, it's very important that you vote. Notice how I said, Americans.
And I mean living, breathing Americans. Not the dead, not double voters, not those who have barged into this country illegally.
To those folks I say, “Sorry” -- because I know the Democrats would really like to see you at the polls in November. But that’s too bad.
This week, President Trump addressed the need for Voter ID laws at his rally in Florida.
If the Democrats win this November, it shouldn't be because of a glitch that could potentially allow millions of people to register to vote in two or more states, or because, as the Electronic Registration Information Center identified last year, more than 200,000 registered voters are actually dead.
The United States has seen voter fraud in the past, and will likely see it in the future, but leave it to the Golden State to lead the way in creating an environment that invites fraud.
California registers adults to vote when they apply for, renew, or change their address on a driver’s license.
Don’t see the problem? Well, it means illegal immigrants are able to get driver’s licenses -- and therein lies the problem.
The California state DMV insists there are safeguards to prevent illegals who get licenses from getting on the voter rolls, but California is notorious for letting things slip through the cracks.
Do you really trust California to make sure that all those people applying for driver’s licenses are really eligible to vote?
Meantime, San Francisco is already registering some non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, to vote in the November election for the city school board. The move follows passage of a 2016 ballot measure by San Francisco voters opening school elections to non-citizens who are over the age of 18, city residents and have children under age 19.
The ACLU, Democrats, and other left-wing groups have an unwritten motto: No unqualified voter left behind.
Well, that's a load of garbage. We need voter ID laws. No excuses.
Felons, illegals and dead people shouldn't be voting. But the Democrats sabotage voter ID laws, saying it's a way for the Republicans to disenfranchise voters and hamper the minority vote. I still don't get how showing a driver's license or ID card to vote is racist or exclusionary.
If you need an ID to buy cold medicine, get into a bar, cash a check, or board an airplane, you sure as heck should need to show one to vote for our elected leaders.
This is common sense. And if the Democrats don't like it, well, that tells you everything you need to know about that party. At least nine states offer some kind of fee waiver to the homeless or others who can’t afford an ID.
This war against voter ID laws is nothing more than a continuation of the left's favorite narrative: Everyone is a victim and law and order is oppressive.
Give me a break.
Those are my final thoughts. From LA, God bless and take care.
