CRTV host and author Michelle Malkin said she is proud that President Trump continues to fulfill promises he made to "forgotten" Americans, especially on border security and immigration.

"We have to end these horrible catch and release principles," Trump said Monday, after threatening to shut down the government if Democrats do not agree to fund the border wall.

Also on Monday, the Department of Justice indicted a Jordanian national who lives in Mexico for allegedly smuggling a number of "special interest illegal aliens" from Yemen into the United States through the southern border with Mexico.

Malkin said Immigration and Customs Enforcement is not the only thing that many Democrats want to "abolish" if they take back Congress this year.

"It's about abolishing every last founding principle that has helped preserve the greatness of our country," she said.

Sean Hannity said many Democrats want to impeach Trump and "want their crumbs back," a reference to infamous remarks about tax cut benefits by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Malkin said Trump is trying to fight not only Democrats but also the "Beltway establishment" of the Republican Party like the Chamber of Commerce.

She said the "amnesty first, enforcement later" strategy will not work and Trump is right to push for the latter up front.

Malkin said the Secure Fence Act was passed in 2006, when George W. Bush was president, yet there are still 400-500 miles of unprotected terrain along the border.

She said she believes Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is the right man to replace House Speaker Paul Ryan and take on the D.C. "swamp."
